Nothing adds more life and vigour to your painting than immersing yourself in the experience of landscape.Which is exactly what I found last week when I was joined by a fabulous group of artists on my “Improve Your Watercolour Painting Techniques” at Malham Tarn Field Centre.
We spent our time out and about in the spectacular and inspirational surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales. Such an enviroment impacts on your work and you find yourself painting much more than the view.It becomes about your experience , your emotions and the weather! Plus a greater depth to your painting than can ever be achieved from copying a photograph.
A fabulous time was had by all at the Paint & Pamper Weekend. What a wonderful setting the Cedar Falls Health Farm is. We filled the Drawing Room with flowers, inspiration, music, chocolate and a group of creative guests. How wonderful to take the time to honour our creativity!
